This work consists of two parts. A nine-tonne natural boulder, found locally and given as a gift by the local people, is installed on the ground floor of the Concert Hall. The huge stone is like a heart in the building. It will never be able to move out again. Traditionally, a stone like this would have been a place to meet. In a concert hall, you often look for friends and the concept was to bring this tradition into contemporary life and architecture. “meet you by the large stone.”
Above the stone are a series of 290 paintings on aluminium. All together, with their reflection of light in the traces in the oil paintings – it becomes a score. The fragile works feels light and reflects daylight on the tall wall, in contrast to the heavy boulder on the ground floor below.
